The sun is hot and can burn our skin. It rises in the morning and sets in the evening. The sun is like a flashlight and gives us light. The sun is made of every color mixed together, which appears white to our eyes. The sun makes shadows. The earth spins, so during the day we see the sun, and at night we see the moon. They painted a paper plate black on one side and yellow on the other; making a sun and moon!
I placed shape links and shape design mats on table, they took turns rolling the pocket cube and finding the matching colored link and placing on the mat.
For fine motor the older kiddos traced letter C and the others colored in their journals. They sorted numbers 1, 2,3 and 4.
