We've been busy in the barn. Your child should be able to describe a barn, silo and what a silo is used for on a farm. We have a sensory bin with corn, animals so they were able to put their little imaginations to work! We talked about tractors and how tractors help farmers, hay and where it is found on a farm, mud and how it is made and finally how a pig uses mud to cool off! The pigs rolling in the mud and mud pies were definitely a hit! This month you child will learn all about life Down on the Farm! The farm is home to many different animals. Your child will get to know chickens, pigs, sheep, horses and more. He will have fun practicing the sounds they make and learning about the food they eat. We will explore the different jobs that farms do, like planting and harvesting crops, feeding and rounding up the animals, and driving a tractor to plow the fields. He will even plant his own seeds and watch them grow!
We will also focus on: Letters B, C & H Shape - triangle Color - brown It is fall time! Some cooler weather headed our way. We enjoyed the park and having a picnic everyday this past week. Our next unit is Down on the Farm!
