Sloths move very slowly. They have sharp claws to hang upside down on branches. They mostly eat leaves and fruit from trees. A sloth can turn its head up to 270 degrees to explore its surroundings.
Today we created upside down art! Just like a sloth hangs upside down, Michelangelo had to lie on his back to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I taped paper to the bottom of the table and encouraged the kids to lay on their back and draw! They had so much fun!
For fine motor, we cut paper and made a collage.
