Everyone sleeps, even animals. We sleep in beds with blankets and pillows. When we sleep at night, we may dream. We are quiet when we sleep. Vincent van Gogh's famous painting, Starry Night, was inspired by one of his dreams. We looked at the Inspiration Photo and noticed swirls in the sky and other wavy line movements. I provided the kiddos with paper, paint and a pokey ball. We talked about how we could make swirls and stars.
We played "Beatriz Sleeps" they took turns rolling the die, identifying the number and moved their game piece that many spaces. They did really well taking turns and counting! We also put a puzzle together as a group.
For fine motor they placed stickers in their fine motor journals.
Today one of my friends asked me what color does pink and green make? I asked each of them what color they thought it would make, and then we mixed the two colors!
