The deepest part of the ocean floor reaches down to about 36,000 feet. The floor consists of sand, rock, and even volcanoes. There are coral reefs, plants and animals that live on the ocean floor.
We made oyster pearls. When a piece of sand gets inside an oyster shell it might turn into a pearl over time. We used paper plates, paint, pipe cleaners and beads to create an oyster shell. They threaded the beads and painted the plate (shell) with their choice of paint colors!
