Who needs paper and pencil when you have dirt, rocks and sticks? Today we did some more exploring in the Green Belt. We used sticks to write in the dirt and rocks to form letters. We even had a discussion about sinking and floating! These boys threw rocks and sticks in the river for quite some time. They noticed the sticks would float and would watch them float away.
We also practiced cutting and color sorting. We cut up strips of paper and then sorted into the ovals. I tried to make it look like Easter eggs in the grass. We had a terrific day!
