Mice....

Mice are small rodents that can live outside or even in your house.  They can fit through small holes and can build complex burrows.  They have poor eyesight but have a very good sense of hearing and smell.  The expression "quiet as a mouse" is used to remind us to be silent during certain situations.  During this invitation to create children used their spatial skills to finish a picture.  Similar to a puzzle, children selected one half of a mouse and drew the other half.  This activity allowed children to use their own ideas by completing a mouse picture or creating a silly animal.
For fine motor we traced numbers and lines.  We made Bb puzzles and also worked in our journals! 
We played Mouse in a House.  The mouse card was hidden under one of the houses.  The children would take turns rolling the color cube, select the house with same color to see if the mouse is under that house!
