Today we learned that there were many different plants when the dinosaurs walked the earth. It would get so hot during Jurassic times that much of the food and plants dried up. Many dinosaurs ate plants. We also learned that dinosaurs moved in different ways. We created our own Dino path with strops of paper, dinosaur toys and paint. They each decided how to arrange the strips and where they wanted to put Dino footprints.
We played feed the dinosaur, each took a turn rolling the cube and removed the number and shape of leaves from the tree.
I gave the kids eggs, letter blocks, dinosaurs and leaves and let their imaginations go. No directions just play. I snuck in literacy with the letter blocks!
We used egg shaped cookie cutters, dipped in paint and wrote the Ee in each egg. We used our Dino paths to make a path for the dinosaurs today.
