They created their own family puppet; this could be themselves or someone they know. I showed them how to curl the hair using a pencil and some of them added buttons, stripes, and zippers to their pants and shirts.
We discussed the skull and how it protects the brain, for sensory we made noodle brains! I filled a container with cooked spaghetti noodles and let them play! When they were done, I gave them scissors to cut the noodles.
For fine motor they practiced putting their name together by putting the popsicle stick in the correct pocket. They also glued circles in their fine motor journals.
For math, I placed tangrams on the table, and they were invited to freely play and build designs.
