Giraffes Can't Dance

Today we read Giraffes Can't Dance. This book teaches children accept their own differences as well as others.  
We traced our hand and arm to make adorable giraffes.  The older kids drew giraffes and painted with water colors. 
We used pattern blocks to build various zoo animals. Traced and built the letter Gg and enjoyed some time outdoors! 
The older kids painted the first letter of their name, decorated and glued tissue paper to canvas. Once the canvas and letters were dry we glued the painted letter on the canvas.
