Corn is a cereal crop. Many countries call corn "maize." It is special because we can use it for food, beverages, medicine and even fuel. Corn can be eaten rom the cob or it can be processed to make things like cooking oil and potato chips. We discussed the Inspiration Photo and what we noticed in the picture. During this Invitation to Create, children explored different textures to create their own corn-on-the-cob designs.
They created their art with bubble wrap to stamp a corn design.
We worked on the letter Ee in our fine motor journals, made straight lines and curly lines for the lower case e. They also glued some pictures with farm words in their fine motor journals.
