Coral reefs are living structures found underwater and are home to a diverse group of sea creatures. Coral reefs are fragile. Boating and pollution can damage coral reefs. We used straws, starch noodles and paper to create a coral collage. I think they liked snipping the straws the most because they would fly across the room!
We made O for Octopus, using crepe paper and googly eyes.
Fine motor we worked our wrist and hand by painting with marshmallows!
I put butcher paper on a table and they colored away and asked for more when they were done. I wrote names on the paper and this generated an abundance of conversation with the younger kiddos. We talked about colors and letters while they were creating their masterpiece!
