Hens are female chickens and can lay an egg every 24 hours. Hens look after their own group of baby chicks, called a "brood." We all looked at the Inspiration Photo and talked about what we noticed. During this Invitation to Create, children experimented with how an egg can move and what designs it can create on paper. By rolling, stamping and dipping the eggs in paint, children were able to create their own egg designs. They learned you can paint and create designs with other tools besides a paint brush!
We made barn names; they traced their names and drew their favorite farm animal!
