Carrots are a root vegetable. They grow in the ground and need to be pulled out. Carrots come in different colors such as orange, purple, red, white and yellow. We read "The Carrot Seed" book by Ruth Krause.
We practiced drawing carrots in our fine motor journals. For the Make & Play, they were encouraged to draw a carrot, any shape they wanted. They turned out so cute! We made carrot names for our name activity using triangles. The older kids cut the carrots (triangles) and tops, the younger kids cut the tops.
We fed the horse carrots! They pulled a carrot card, stated the letter, and we made the sound and then fed the horse.
We celebrated another birthday this week!
