Today we learned about parrots. Parrots have brightly colored feathers, curved bills, and clawed feet. They are considered one of the smartest bird species. Some parrots mimic the words they hear. There are over 350 different types of parrots. We created our own parrots using paper plate, wiggle eyes, festoon and paint.
For small group math we used math story cards and fish counters! We worked together to solve each math story problem.
I set out rainforest story telling pieces and encouraged the kids to make up adventures with the story telling pieces.
For fine motor we used Q-tips to paint lines and letters Dd, MM and Jj.
Have a fantastic weekend!!!
