We had a very busy week. We took a walk in the greenbelt to check out the river before making our river collages. They saw a turtle, fish and ducks while on their nature walk! We experimented with things that sink or float. We had fun guessing before hand if the item would sink or float! We learned that alligators have about 80 teeth in their mouth at one time, but in a lifetime have a total of 2000-3000 teeth and they are very sneaky. They will sit still and quiet so that no one sees them coming. Did you know an alligator can hold its breath for 20-30 minutes? We made beaver puppets and created beaver lodges using sticks, blocks and play dough. We also worked on the letter Aa this week.
This month your child will go on a wild water adventure. She will begin by exploring the river. She will make a beaver puppet and make friends with an alligator. Then, grab a fishing pole because your child will spend a week at the lake. She will design a sailboat and experiment with things that sink and float. Water is everywhere and is used for many different purposes. Your child will make soapy bubbles to wash pets and set up a squeaky clean car wash. We had a very busy week.
