This special day celebrates the day someone was born. We had a very busy day!! Happy 4th Birthday to one of our friends! Today's theme was Birthday Celebrations, so the timing of her birthday was perfect. We celebrated all day!
Our morning circle time we worked on numbers. They took turns picking a card and placing in on the magnetic board in the correct spot. The older kiddos help the younger ones that need a little help with counting and number recognition.
We made party hats using stickers, these were a big hit today! We used glue and sprinkles to "decorate a cake", they don't know it but that was exercise for their little hands squeezing the glue! We matched cupcake letters in our fine motor journals.
We made a class counting book. They each decorated a page, counted, and glued the correct number of candles. “How Many Candles are on the Cake?” I made a copy for each child, so they can take home and read and count. This was so fun and turned out super cute!
They decorated pretend cupcakes and had a birthday celebration all day!
