I am a firm believer in learning through play and I enjoy when the kids have special requests to do other projects or activities. We played with water tools (we used an eyedropper to squeeze and release). We used baking soda and vinegar to watch it fizz! We also spent a lot of time playing with play dough this week! This is great for the tiny muscles in their hands. We worked on the letter Qq as well. All of the older kids recognize the letters in the alphabet. This year we are focusing on the sounds letters make.
We are almost completed with our At the Pond unit. This week we made a Mayfly and learned about their bizarre lifecycle! We talked about snails and made snail trails with paint, glue and sand. We used a q-tip to make trails on our paper. I am a firm believer in learning through play and I enjoy when the kids have special requests to do other projects or activities.
