Last week, the kids worked on creating Valentine’s cards for all their friends in class. This was a great opportunity for them to practice writing and express their creativity in their own way. Again, no right or wrong way to do something. Just be creative! We used stickers and markers.
Today, for fine motor skill development, they cut heart paper strips and glued into their journals. We also explored a fun science experiment--"exploding hearts"—using baking soda and vinegar! The children used droppers to place vinegar on their heart-shaped baking soda creations, watching in excitement as the fizzing reaction took place.
For our daily name activity, the kids made "love bugs" using the letters in their names.
