Mad is an emotion or feeling that can be expressed in different ways. There are many coping strategies children can try when they feel mad, such as breathing exercises or squeezing something soft.
They each looked at the Inspiration Photo of the Picasso painting. They were encouraged to find facial features and shapes on the painting. I asked how can you make a face with shapes? They were give paper, various shapes, paint and invited to create their own painting!
For fine motor they traced lines or colored in their journals and used stickers to form the letter Aa.
We added an AB pattern to their name! So, in addition to the letters of their name, they are learning about shapes, colors and patterns!
