I hid letter eggs in a pile of leaves, and the children took turns finding an egg, identifying the letter, and writing it in their journals. I offered to help by writing so they could trace, but they were all excited to do it on their own!
They used loose parts (leaves, sticks and rocks) to create designs. They had pattern cards to follow or create their own designs.
For fine motor practice, they were encouraged to cut and glue different colored leaves. They used dot stickers to sort on red, green, and yellow trees. This activity got them up and moving.
Have a great weekend!
