🔤 Today our preschoolers focused on the letter Vv!
✏️ We colored our Vv books, practiced tracing the letter V, and even got creative by adding alligator teeth to our V drawings!
We also did some sorting fun by separating Yy and Vv in our journals 📓 and built the letter V using loose parts.
🦷 Did you know alligators can have up to 80 teeth at a time, but over their lifetime, they can go through 2,000-3,000 teeth? Our preschoolers took turns adding 17 or 18 "teeth" (aka golf tees) into the play dough and then pulling them out — just like loosing a real tooth!
To wrap up our day, we played a fun game called "Feed the Alligator!" 🐊🍽️
We used letter cards and sound-picture matches. The kiddos picked a letter, said its sound 🎤, found the matching picture, and then "fed" it to our hungry alligator!
It was a snappy good time full of learning, fun, and lots of Vv practice! 💚
