Puppies, kittens, foals, cubs, babies of any kind, need parents for food, warmth and security. The verdict is in, we officially have another six weeks of winter! Today they made groundhog puppets. They used dot markers and paper plates to create these cute lil' guys.
They cut heart shapes out of the paper we painted yesterday. We will use the cut outs to make cards. The younger kids that are learning how to cut lines and shapes I gave them strips of the painted paper to cut! They glued these pieces in their journals. They also put heart stickers in their journals. Today we started preparing for Valentine's Day! We painted paper using bouncy balls and plastic container. They each took turns shaking and moving the paint and bouncy balls. Once the paper dries they will cut hearts and use to make cards for their friends.
For fine motor skills they traced hearts and the older kiddos cut out hearts to glue in their fine motor journals. |
